Vintage 1977 Kenner Star Wars Death Squad Commander #1 – Original Figure – No Blaster

$9.99

Here’s an original Death Squad Commander from Kenner’s 1977 Star Wars line, or later the more poitically correct “Star Destroyer Commander”.

This figure is in good condition, with a potential caveat. This figure was one of my favorites (frankly, I’m not sure why, but he was) so I had a bunch of them and a tendency to touch him up whenever he was looking a little worn. Problem is, I’m not 100% sure which ones I touched up and which ones I didn’t. I would use Testors model paint, which, for some reason, on some figures, would never dry (even to this day some figures are still tacky). That said, the paint on this figure is good and solid, so we can’t use that as a clue. I did pull one DSC from my listings because his helmet was most obviously painted. I do see random specks of black paint on this figure, and I think I see some black on the bottom of his pant legs, but I don’t know if those came from manufacturing or my touchups. In light of the fact that the helmet is solid and the silver circles on his wrist are shiny, I would be inclined to think that I touched this one up.

No blaster included. Stands well and joints move freely.

Add a true original trilogy villain to your display—every Death Star needs its Commander.

I’m selling off my original collection of vintage Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Six Million Dollar Man, and other classic 70s–80s toys. I’d hoped to post it all at once, but I’m listing as I go to make sure everything’s done right.
