Are you going to have a garage sale? Here are sites that we list our garage sales.
Our original default was always CraigsList.org, it’s free and easy to use.
In an effort to generate more traffic, we investigated other sites to list our garage sale on. Interestingly enough, these all seem to be part of the same network, the interface is the same, and if you’re willing to spend the money, they’ll duplicate your listing across the other sites. It’s possible to list your garage sale for free, but there seems to be impediments to encourage to you pay for their services. For instances the photo handling is cumbersome. Enough so, that one suspects that they’ve made it extra complicated to try to get you to pay for the multiple listings so that you don’t have to go through the chore of uploading and rotating images on every site. Each site will send out an email to their members alerting them to garage sales in their area, and that seems to help increase traffic to our sales, so we’ll keep using them all (one at a time, for free). Also, as far as we can tell, there’s no way to duplicate a listing (like on Craig’s List) so you have to recreate your sale for every instance on every site. Which can get real time consuming if you’re running your sale over multiple weekends.
